Yuhang-based tech firm Rokid has recently announced a breakthrough with the launch of the world’s first commercially available smart glasses equipped with integrated payment functionality., The device, dubbed Rokid Glasses, allows users to complete payments simply by issuing voice commands--a true “look and pay” experience.
With Rokid Glasses, users can simply say, “Rokid, pay 10 yuan,” and the device instantly recognizes the Alipay QR code. A second voice prompt--“Confirm payment”--finalizes the transaction. Payment details are displayed directly in the lens, removing the need to touch a phone.
This innovation proves especially valuable in scenarios where hands are occupied--such as shopping in a wet market or riding a bike–or for people with disabilities. In these scenarios, the ability to complete secure transactions with a glance and a command offers both convenience and dignity.
Security remains paramount. Rokid Glasses are fully integrated with Alipay’s multi-layer risk control system, ensuring that every transaction is authenticated, device-specific, and protected. Users are guaranteed compensation in the rare event of unauthorized transactions under the platform’s “stolen and reimbursed” policy.
Rokid Glasses are more than just a payment tool--they are a fully integrated smart device. They support intelligent Q&A, real-time translation, teleprompting, navigation, object recognition, message notifications, and photo/video capture. Powered by several large-scale AI models including Qwen, DeepSeek, and ChatGLM, the device provides a robust foundation for seamless user interaction.
With global pre-orders already exceeding 250,000 units, Rokid has confirmed that shipments will begin by the end of June.
Looking forward, Rokid and Alipay plan to expand the ecosystem around “look-to-act” services.
