To celebrate the 50th anniversary of China-Thailand diplomatic relations, the Yuyuan Lantern Festival and the 2025 China-Thailand Culture Month, both themed “Spirit of Mountains and Seas”, will kick off in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 28 and run for 50 days.

Beyond the exquisite lantern displays, the Thailand Yuyuan Lantern Festival will feature a Light and Shadow Art Exhibition, themed markets, an immersive Eastern Aesthetics exhibition with interactive experiences, and cultural theme weeks at Icon Siam--Bangkok’s premier commercial landmark.

Create Hangzhou, the city’s cross-cultural promotion platform, will bring Chinese creative designs to Bangkok through its “Vivid Charm in All Forms: Chinese Trend Cultural and Creative Week”, introducing local residents to Chinese culture via digital technology, artistic innovation, and cutting-edge IPs.

Among the featured exhibitors are Mingyun Culture(which fuses West Lake vistas into tea ceremony craftsmanship), Infinity Studio (which creates digital IPs for cultural legacies), Youguang Theatre (reimagining tradition through environmental theater and installation art), the universally beloved panda IPs Rua Rua Panda and Rua Rua Red Panda making its international debut.

This year also marks the 13th anniversary of Hangzhou and Bangkok as sister cities. Selected photographs of Hangzhou taken by local citizens and curated from the Hangzhou Citizen Photography Festival, will be exhibited by Hangzhoufeel alongside other photographic works during this cultural and creative week.
