PETVV Women’s Wear recently partnered with Shouchang Ancient Town to unveil its 2025 Winter Collection in Jiande, Hangzhou, bridging tradition and modernity.

Shouchang set the stage with a lively open-air concert, followed by the spectacular costume runway show that brought Chinese history to life. The show featured traditional clothing from nine historical periods including the Three Kingdoms and Jin, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, as well as the modern era. Each outfit vividly reflected the aesthetics and craftsmanship of its time, taking the audience on an immersive journey through the rich story of Shouchang Town across the centuries.

The show drew inspiration from the digital futurism of modern society and the street layouts of historic towns. Blending tradition with technology, it presented a dialogue between the past and future. Models wore the Winter 2025 collection on the runway, with robots joining as special “supermodels”. The garments exhibited featured striking patchworks, using diverse fabrics and color palettes to mirror the alleys and architectural patterns of the ancient townscape. Meanwhile, the costumes took coarse-woven textiles and metallic fabrics as the material, symbolizing a connection between the old and the futuristic.
