From Apr 15 to May 5, the 137th Canton Fair (China Import and Export Fair) is taking place in three phases in Guangzhou, with 1,021 exhibitors from Hangzhou participating.

Among them are tech leaders such as Lingban Technology, which specializes in AR glasses and hardware-software integration, and BrainCo, one of the first companies in China to commercialize brain-computer interface technology. Both companies are showcasing their flagship products.

The renowned Lin’an-based company Hangcha Group is exhibiting seven new products, including the XH Series High Voltage Lithium Forklifts, XE Series Electric Forklifts, and warehouse vehicles. These forklifts are designed to meet local needs in overseas markets, attracting buyers from Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. Hangzhou-based LE-vending Technology Co., Ltd., which focuses on smart vending business machines, is unveiling a coffee art robot, aiming to enhance its global brand presence through advanced AI and unmanned retail technologies.

In the newly launched “Service Robots Zone” at the Canton Fair, Hangzhou stands out with nine companies across 36 booths, accounting for 20% of the total. Industry leaders including Unitree Robotics, DEEP Robotics, Westlake Robotics, and Taixi Robot are displaying their iconic innovations.

In 2024, Hangzhou’s total foreign trade volume reached 809.27 billion yuan, up 7.5% year-on-year. Of that, high-tech exports totaled 88.909 billion yuan, a 9.2% increase--highlighting the rise of tech-trade as a new growth engine in the foreign trade sector.

Following Phase 1, Phase 2 of the Canton Fair will run from Apr 23 to 27, and Phase 3 will take place from May 1 to 5. Hangzhou companies will continue to seek new foreign trade opportunities, aiming to connect with global buyers, secure deals, and expand their international market reach.
