Hangzhou has ushered in the most colorful season as the streets and rivers have dressed up winter vibes from Nov 17 to Dec 31, with 23 roads and 13 scenic paths adorned with leafy and natural beauty -- no sweeping during the daytime.
In suburban Hangzhou, Qiandao Lake in Chun'an county is showcasing its charm with vibrant colors as the crystal-clear lake water reflects the beautiful azure of the sky and the hierarchical color gradients on top of the Tianmu Mountain in Lin'an district.
Here are some perfect locations for winter photos!
Ginkgo trees
If you're in the mood for some Insta-worthy moments, Baita Park must be on top of the list. Ginkgo trees there have turned stunningly gold contrasting to the vintage trains and railway tracks in the park.
Ginkgo trees in Wanshi town, Fuyang district, are grabbing the spotlight with their breathtaking golden hues. Wanshi's Yangjia village is home to over 1,200 ancient ginkgo trees, some of which are over a millennium old. It would be a good choice for recording the stunning transformation as the entire area is bathed in gold.
Red maples
A stone trail hidden behind Faxi Temple stretches into the depth of greens. If you take this path, you'll find color-changing acer palmatums and stunning red maples mingling harmoniously with horse chestnut and sweetgum trees.
Reeds
An annual festival entitled Listen to the Reeds is being held at Xixi Wetland Park, with the reeds in full bloom. This year, special bus routes have been added for rowing boats and electric boats, so that you can get up close with the enchanting water scenery!
Bassia scoparia
In Yuhang district, Jingshan Flower Sea takes social media by storm! Hundreds of vibrant Bassia scoparia create a stunning autumn palette. Be sure not to miss this Instagrammable spot!
