Hangzhou made an impressive presence at this year's China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai. More than 8,000 professional attendees from over 3,200 enterprises and institutions of the city set a new record of registered pros at the expo.
On Nov 6, the Hangzhou delegation took part in the Zhejiang Province Key Import Platform Promotion and Centralized Contract Signing for the Zhejiang Provincial Trade Delegation on the 6th International Import Expo.
On a panel of the Global Digital Industry Docking Meeting of the 6th Hongqiao International Economic Forum, Zhejiang Province completed contract signings for some major projects. Among others, Hangzhou signed one major procurement project and four major foreign investment projects, with a procurement amount of US$30 million and a total investment of US$320 million.
During the CIIE, Hangzhou also announced to gear up to host the 2nd Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE), a massive event scheduled on Nov 23-27 that connects companies worldwide. At a recent press conference in Shanghai, the officials who hyped up the expo expected to draw industry movers and shakers from across the globe.
With the theme "Digital Trade, Business Reaches the Whole World," this year's GDTE covers 100,000 square meters decked out with conferences, exhibitions, platforms and events that are focused on the latest and the greatest in digital commerce.
