What would you like to experience in the city of Hangzhou during the post-Asian Games time? The 17th edition of Hangzhou Cultural & Creative Industry Expo (HCIE) will be expected to surprise the audience once again at Baima Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center. Featuring five themed areas, the exhibition from Nov 23 to 27 covers a total area of 65,000 square meters.

HCIE is believed to be an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in a cultural feast that combines the ancient and modern times and connects the Eastern and Western cultures. The event, themed with "Creative Hangzhou·Connecting World", will adopt an online-offline combined mode to comprehensively showcase the accomplishments of Hangzhou in expediting the development of an international cultural and creative hub in recent years.

A cultural party with new friends

The five-day expo will attract more than 500 top cultural and creative brands as well as museums, art colleges and artists from over 60 countries and regions, including France, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Ireland, and Japan. Among them, it is the first time for Austria, Belgium, Chile and so on to come to the exhibition.

The newly created international exhibition area will exceed 50% of the total for the first time, with 40% of the exhibitions being limited models worldwide, and with 75% of the international brands entering the Chinese market for the first time.

At the scene, "Mr. Rose" designed by Philippe Katerine from France will show healing energy with lovely magic, meanwhile the Italian craftsmen will bring their indigenous brand products to make their debut in China. The exhibition themed on "Silk Road·Ten years" featuring cultural achievements will provide an art gallery together with the Chinese Cultural Center in Bulgaria and more than 30 countries.

In-depth exchanges calling for new ideas

In recent years, the development strength of Hangzhou's cultural industry has been consistently leading in the country and the province.

As the research benchmark of cultural industry, this year's expo will link well-known domestic universities such as Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Communication University of China, and China Academy of Art. Well-known museum curators and experts from France, Italy, Bulgaria and so on are invited to share their in-depth insights into cultural inheritance and innovation, digital culture development and other cutting-edge topics in the cultural and creative industry.

At the expo, 13 business forums will be held including the industry investment and financing forum, the tea-themed international dialogue and exchange, and international handicraft innovation and development forum. At the same time, the industry white paper book and the latest development index will be issued, actively promoting the contract signing of many key projects and the development of the industry by live broadcasting and online forums.

Chinese style blooming into new fashion

When walking around the exhibition, you will feel like taking a city walk. The expo has been geared up to enrich the resources of Hangzhou, a historical and cultural city, and promote the creative transformation and innovative development of excellent traditional cultures such as the West Lake, Liangzhu, Grand Canal and Song Dynasty Charm in the exhibition area of City Impression and Beautiful Inheritance with ingenuity.

Among them, New Dragon Gate Inn, the live performance of the new Chinese style environmental opera will spread the new culture tide in a youth-catering and fashionable way. For the first time, the trend laboratory and the HTS International Fashion Toy Design Exhibition is set up to bridge the exhibition to young people. More than 2,000 kinds of panda IP products such as the online celebrity Gun Gun will also make their appearance in the hall.
