In spring, living in Meirong village of Tongjun subdistrict in Tonglu County is like the contemporary hermitage in Fuchun Mountains.

More than 800 acres of rape flowers of various colors are in full bloom there, which will last for around 20 days, forming the biggest rape flower maze in Zhejiang province. People fled from hustles and bustles in the urban areas to savor the sweet moments in this "Venice of the Orient", the town that features the traditional south-China architecture charm with the village houses built in white walls and black tiles.

People can enjoy the beauty of Tonglu all year round, from intoxicating mists rising above the Fuchun River, to delicate designs of paddies in Meirong village. Last year, over one hundred photographers were invited to capture the breathtaking scenery of Tonglu with their drones, producing more than 800 pictures and 100 short videos. Sweet-scented osmanthus, maple leaves, sheaves rippling and shimmering like waves of gold were all treasured in their lens. In mid-March, judges from all the related fields got together to grade the photos and videos, giving their sincere comments:

"To capture perfect aerial footage is both time-and energy-consuming. In these works, a fascinating Tonglu is in full display."

"Some of the photographers are from Tonglu, and the others are not, which means that they are likely to observe Tonglu from new perspectives, adding them as diversity to their works."

"As photographic works, the composition, coloring and view angles are well-organized. When these original works are publicized, they have both high quality and popularity."
